UV STERILIZERS FOR INDUSTRIAL &
RESIDENTIAL USAGE

Generalities
UV ( Ultraviolet ) sterilization is an effective disinfection method using UV radiation ( short wavelength light compared to visible light ) to eliminate microorganisms such as pathogens, bacteria, viruses, algae and most of fungi. Electromagnetic radiation of UV sterilizers ranges at 254 nm which breaks molecular bonds within the DNA of micro-organisms, thereby prohibiting growth and reproduction of them.
It also makes it possible to avoid the use of harmful chemicals for humans and the environment.
Working Principle :
Inlet water enters the stainless steel irradiation chamber (reactor) and circulates around a low-pressure mercury vapor lamp emitting UV radiation with a density of 30,000 μwatt / cm2.
This high energy radiation is absorbed by the genetic material (DNA) of microorganisms which causes their denaturation. Treated water at the outlet of the device and therefore not containing any microbial activity is ready for consumption.
Applications :

UV Sterilization is commonly used for :
– Agriculture, Food & Beverage industries
– Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical industries
– Domestic usage : Hospitals, schools, shopping centers, houses

Features :
– Nominal flow up to 150 m3 / h (for standard models)
– Body and reactor entirely made by AISI 316 L quality stainless
Steel
– Electro-polishing for surface finishing ( Ra Int. > 0,5 μm ; Ra Ext. < 1,6 μm )
– Mercury vapor or amalgam lamp with high radiation density
( 30.000 μwatt / cm2.) – lifetime: 9000 hours )
– Amalgam type lamp for high flow capacity models ( Input power : 300—320 W )
– Visual inspection hole for the operation of the lamp
– Easy installation & maintenance for lamp replacement
– Protective ballast with visual indication
